The California Primary Care Association is convening the first annual conference on workforce development for Community Clinics and Health Centers (CCHCs). The conference will be held in Sacramento on November 2 and 3, 2011. We are looking for people who would like to propose a workshop or panel for the conference.
Health care reform will pose additional challenges to CCHCs in meeting the workforce needs necessary to provide the increased access to care resulting from reform. “Creating the 21st Century Health Center Workforce” will bring together CPCA, health centers and the regional clinic consortia to discuss approaches, share resources and develop common strategies. The conference will feature keynote speakers, panels and presentations on a wide array of topics related to workforce recruitment and retention, and breakout strategy sessions.
The Call for Presenters provides more information on the conference and the opportunity to submit proposed presentations or topics. We are looking for presenters from CCHCs as well as from partnering organizations. Please share this with anyone else that you think might be interested.
